Jointly Develops World’s First LPWA Wireless Tracker Certified by Microsoft Azure PnP Services

 

Taipei, Taiwan (May 06, 2019) – Compal Electronics is pleased to announce the strategic joining of technological expertise between its B2B brand, APAL and Microsoft Azure IoT. This alliance will see to the co-development and production of APAL GPS Tracker-GT100, an intelligent, wireless LPWAN GPS tracker that supports world’s first “multi-method” position tracking system and Microsoft Azure IoT PnP for instant asset management services.

 

As a joint, solution-based design, corporate clients using these Microsoft certified APAL trackers can expect to benefit from insights gained during real-time monitoring of assets to improve workflow efficiencies, lower costs and increase industry competitiveness.

 

The breakthrough “multi-method” position tracking system in the APAL GPS Tracker-GT100 allows corporate clients convenient ways of remote, wireless monitoring, including GPS, 4GNB IoT, CatM1’s Cell Tower, WiFi LBS or Bluetooth (BT Beacon) among others for position tracking. All data collected are streamed to Azure IoT PnP services for analytics processing, and are then verified for deviations or process improvements, offering corporate clients an accurate, one-stop solution-based asset monitoring and management experience.

The Compal APAL and Microsoft partnership commences in Q1 of 2019.
